What is a Box Break?
The purpose of group breaks is a way for multiple people to split the cost of a box (or multiple boxes or a case) in the break and then the cards from each teams are divided up amongst the people in the break (depending on what sports team that they get)
Group breaks can involve every product from the major sports such as Topps, Prizm, Optic, Bowman, Select and more.
It is a great alternative to buying a full case or box. For example, a Box of 2017 Panini Prizm Football can run you $512 if purchasing for yourself, in a 32 NFL team break where you split the cost among 32 participants in a box break is $16 per spot for 1 random team.
How Do Box Breaks Work?
There are 30 people in a box break and 30 teams in the NBA. Once each spot is filled and payments are received for each spot in the break, we will randomize the teams and participants publicly in the Box Break. We then post what team you will receive before the box break starts. You will receive every card from the team you received in the random. If you were assigned the Los Angeles Lakers, you would receive all Kobe Bryant cards and everybody in a Laker uniform.
Online payment through our website is the main form of payment accepted, we also accept in store payments for breaks. After payment is made, you will be assigned one spot until all 30 spots are sold out. (1 person can purchase multiple spots)
All box breaks are done live on our main Facebook page for you to watch, they are also recorded and posted automatically so you can watch the break at your own convenience (search our facebook page The Hobby Den)
Once the break is over, the cards will be divided up into teams, organized into bags and shipped/picked up to the appropriate members that have those teams.
